Power of Advertising

I feel that advertising has taken over the nation. We have advertising everywhere, on our cars, on our TV's, on just about anything we own it will have the name of the company that made the object on it. Advertisements may not always make you buy that product but make you stop and think and know that it is out there if you need it. Some advertisements are very shocking that you talk about it and that is how they get their name out there. Even online advertisements are on just about every page. You go a search in your choice of search engine and there is advertisement everywhere on the side. Notice how I said search engine of your choice because I personally would have said Google and that is advertising at its finest. Instead of tissue we say Kleenex, or not bandage but Band-Aid, Coke instead of pop or soda, you get the point right? Advertising is a multimillion dollar industry. It is in our lives everywhere and we can do nothing about it. Some advertisements are very inappropriate that we just wish they would tone it down some so we don't find them so repulsive; most things are not "family friendly" anymore. We can owe that to media and advertising.
